1979 Topps Hockey Sheets - Help

I've been trying to find images of both full sheets of 1979 Topps hockey to no avail. I've come across many OPC and some partial Topps sheets, but no full sheets? Does anyone have any they'd be willing to share?

Thanks.

Sorry can't help. But if you need 1980 Topps hockey I can help. My brother has four uncut sheets (2 sets).

I've seen them before but don't have any images.

If you don't mind my asking, what is the reason you want to see them?

I ask because I'm building a 1989 Topps Hockey set, have one sheet but would like to see pictures of the others to get an idea of the how they looked/position on page before cutting.

    Best of luck!

  • Ask at the Net54 Vintage Hockey site. Someone there will have it.
  • Patrick - For the sets I collect, I'm really fascinated by what sheet placement of a card means in terms of centering and printing defects. I just recently started on this set. Just Flyers and stars at this point.

Beezer - Yeah i'll give the net54 hockey a try but that place seems kinda dead posting-wise.

OPC was printed on three sheets. Topps since 264 cards, I assume two. Does anyone know if cards 1-264 for OPC were contained on just two sheets? or spread out over all three sheets? If just on two I wonder if it's a safe assumption that those two sheet are laid out the same as the Topps sheets?

Many years ago I built a PSA '79 Topps registry set. Are you building a PSA set or raw?

Good luck with whichever route you're taking. The '79 Topps set is beautiful. The most difficult card in the set to find centered is #161 Mike Bossy. I handled thousands of this card and have NEVER found a centered one.

Geez, you're making me want to build a set again image
  • I'll be doing PSA graded, probably shooting for 9's on the Flyers team set and a hand full of others. Yes the Bossy looks like it might be a tough one.
