1949 PDS Franklins for the toner Dansco.

Here are the 1949 PDS Franklins for my toner Dansco. The D was cracked out of a PCGS MS64FBL slab (if reslabbed I think it has a definite shot at an upgrade), the other two were bought raw. 1949 is a tough year for toning, with toning tending to be more subtle than in your face. The coins were imaged by Bob Campbell, and I think he did an excellent job.

The P looks great. One of those sets i've been thinking of doing just because its so affordable at the moment.

I have 5 or 6 Frankies laying around just slowly picking of really choice pieces with no real purpose.

I still have trouble judging bell lines. I know PCGS and NGC have different standards.

A perfect set of coins for the Dansco. Well done (again), Sy!

  • Very nice set and some nice eye appeal. The Philly is good for the upgrade and both the Philly and the Denver look to have the clash or what ever on the lips under magnification.

Love it. Aint to many die hard Franklin (and Washie) collectors here. And with a fine eye at that image
