Resurrecting another CBH from my collection - 1821 CBH******GRADE REVEALED*****

I haven't posted anything for almost the last 3 years due to my absence from the boards and coin collecting as a whole, so I decided to resurrect some of my CBH's.

Here's an 1821 O-103, again with an old cert #, so feel free to GTG....and for those who can look it up on CoinFacts or some other way, PLEASE don't ruin it for the others...ENJOY!!

I'm gonna go 63 again. There could be some friction there, but somehow I doubt it
The true views I've had done of cbh seem to mute the luster some, I'll bet there is plenty of it on this baby, and way too appealing for 62...

I'm in the 62 camp, but I'd like to know what year it was certified. That would help me decide. I feel like there's definitely been some changes in what PCGS looks for in bust halves.

They say you narrow it to two grades within the first 3 seconds of looking at a coin. I was between a 63 and a 64. End of the day, I want to see a touch more luster from a 64 CBH. I say 63, and a nice one at that.

So nice and sooooo tough to grade from images. I think she's MS. The crust might blunt the bloom. My first blush was 64 but I'm gonna guess she's in a 63 and compares quite favorably to most 64's.

I forgot drddrm had included such nice MS examples in his Registry sets. I miss seeing his Registry sets, but then, if he dhoed them again, I may well lose some rankings.

A little background first on this particular 1821.....I bought it from Dave Kahn who informed me that it belonged to Dick Graham, who I learned has an eye for originality and superior quality when selecting CBH's for his collection, which this coin no doubt has in my opinion.

It was originally graded MS63 and I couldn't help but compare it to many other 63's that I studied and felt it had enough at a shot of getting into a 64 holder, so I submitted it for regrade and it came back 63+, which I was happy with.

And thanks for the compliment Mozin, however, it is YOUR CBH Registry set that should be praised for its incredible CBH's
