Really ran up the tab this show. However, did finance some through selling duplicates. This one came out of the Heritage sale featuring the California collection.
I really liked the obverse design and style of Cyme, an Amazon warrior figure, on obverse and the horse on reverse which while not as well centered, compromises part of the wreath, yet the horse is fully intact. More on the city and mythology as described here AMAZON
AEOLIS. Cyme. Ca. 155-145 BC. AR Tetradrachm (30mm, 16.78 gm, 11h). Metrophanes, magistrate. Head of the Amazon Cyme right, her hair bound with a taenia / KYMAIÙN, horse standing to right, its left foreleg raised, a one-handled cup below; MHTPOÖANHÓ in exergue; all within laurel wreath. Oakley, AMNS 27, 1. SNG Copenhagen 104. Crisply struck on a broad flan. NGC MS 4/5, 5/5, Fine Style.
