I noticed today a left in/at mailbox message today too. Then again a registered sent to OK City got there today. Woulda made it yestiddy save for MLK day.

I have noticed this lately. I can send two coins out the same day, one first class across the country the other priority across state and they will arrive the same day. Go figure.

All I can say is LOL, you made laugh. I never seem to have a problem when I started getting all my coin buys shipped to my office, know the mailman well and my secretary signs for them.

What's the issue with the 2 day arrows? They beat the 2 business days goal, it was mailed on Saturday and Tuesday is the next business day.

Or did you forget that Monday was a Federal holiday?

Even my registered was delivered in 2 business days and that included the day it was mailed and MLK day.

i was pointing out....postal service level
one is 1st class
one is priority

the 1st going across the country got delivered
the priority going just over the hills didn't make it yet

I don't see your point "First Class" and "Priority" are exactly the same service.

It is called First Class when the weight of the package being shipped is under 13oz. It is called "Priority" when the weight is over 13oz.

Most likely the package to Irvine , missed the flight out of Las Vegas and had to hang around until after the holiday to go out.

Sorry, completely missed that it was two packages, I thought it was the same one, snapped at different times...

USPS still does a lot of mail by truck. Even 1st class/priority within certain distances and based on volumes (you often see trailers on the road marked US Mail with two city codes - dedicated transport between those two). 250ish miles is well within the range.

i thought these services were different and not separated by a weight issue...both of those mailings could of been sent 1st class or priority

in the old days
you had 1st class or airmail

my understanding was 1st class...delivery time isn't by fastest method
priority....faster delivery methods are implied "like the old air-mail"

of course express/overnight is top
