Really tough date in 62 or better. This one may even reach 63 level.

With the superb strike and wonderful color who cares about the grade?
I know the Pogue collection has some sweet eye candy and IMHO this
would fit in very nicely in their collection. Thanks for sharing!!!

I don't see any rub any where So i'll go MS62+ a very nice coin. But some times the color will bag it. That's just how they are some times when grading it. image

Always hard to grade from pictures, but I don't see any wear. My guess is a gorgeous PCGS 63. Wish I owned it.

Very nice O.103--its a 63 but I cheated as my example of O.103 is the coin directly above yours in the Coinfacts photo list, also a 63, cert#25241741. These should be condition census coins for the O.103 die marriage. 1820 is my favorite year in the Capped Bust Half Dollar series.

    Yes, it's a 63 as BigMoose said.

I was hoping to let a few more forum members take a guess but oh well.

It is actually a O-103a as evidenced by the obverse die crack above the date and through the stars on the right.

When I bought this coin it was in a PCGS 62 holder and it upgraded on my first submission for regrade. It's pedigreed to the McClerg and Queller collections for those who are interested.

BTW, the luster, which can not be seen in the pic, is amazing!!!

    Thanks for the compliments everyone!!

Nice strike, the color is not for me, but that does not mean anything.

I mistook the darker areas on the cheek and bust for rub, but all in all, MS63 seems like
a fair grade for that coin given the originality and strike.
