Hello guys I didn't have a chance to hit the white plains show. Did anyone pick anything up? If so what or and pictures of the show?

I went and was a bit disappointed. The prices were very high for the things I was looking for. i was trying to finish the 75 topps baseball set and the commons were way overpriced. I was able to get Gaylord Perry's auto so that was a plus. I did pickup a 54 Bowman Yogi Berra and an Andy Pettitte auto so all was not lost.

If you have a want list on your 75 needs I have a bunch of high end cards from 75 I would be happy to look for you. Send me your list if you want.
The highlight of the show for me was looking at a PSA 9 1969 wax pack that Floyd (fscards1) had. It was flawless, and he said it came from a partial box of 13 ; he had sold the rest raw. Wasn't willing to pay $1300+, but it was a beauty.

I went, but I wasn't shopping for myself. Rather, my 5-year old son really wanted to go, so I thought it would be a great time to teach him some money management.
Easily the highlight for me was my son carefully looking over cards, and getting excited when he saw a Willie Mays card he could afford. He picked up a raw 1967 Mays/McCovey Fence Busters that is very nicely centered. As we were leaving, he looked at one more table, as he had $11.50 left. He wanted a Clemente or Whitey Ford, but spotted a 1961 Willie Mays, and opted for that.
I let him do the buying decisions, and I just sat back and watched. It was nice to see him opt for Mays instead of the modern-day shiny.

Lol, thanks. It was a thrill seeing him make his decisions, and even bargain a little (last Mays was $12, he offered the dealer $10).
As I got there, paid at the front and went to the side bathroom to the right before going into the main room, and ended up holding the door for...Frank Thomas. Frank thanked me and then proceeded to do his business. Bizare and awesome!?!

Good for you! At $300 per you obviously got a huge bargain. When he told me what he sold them for I couldn't believe it.

shu4040, if i'm understanding dave correctly, floyd sold you raw 69 packs for only 300 apiece?!?!
Did he think they were 79 packs or something?!?!
Three months ago he sold me a 73 psa 8 cello pack for $295--and that was after I negotiated him down from $325
Guess he likes you better than me lol (and maybe its time for me to find a new hobby )
In any event, nice job and hope they grade out nicely.
