PCGS Hologram on back of slab

Is there any chance that PCGS can help protect their signature hologram that appears on the reverse of the slab and above the coin better? It seems it could be underneath the plastic instead of on the outside.

It seems that it is a common practice for auction houses to cover the back which a sticker bearing either a lot number or the name of the auction house. Goo Gone and other products work fairly well removing the sticker residue off the plastic. Unfortunately, it can become tougher when it is attached over the hologram.

Not trying to be difficult, but there seems to be an easy fix here... even if it is the Auction Houses that could even use a narrow sticker that would fit underneath the Hologram.

Okay... so maybe I am being difficult.

In my experience with buying hologram-holder PCGS coins from Heritage, they place a piece of something- usually an upside down sticker over the hologram so when you go to take the sticker of, the hologram is not affected at all.

This has come up before. I think there was some concern over the sticker being inside the holder and an effect it might have on the coin.

I do agree with the sentiment, however.

...There should be something that can remedy this problem.

Just a thought, why not sandwich the hologram in the plastic somehow, this would isolate it from the coin and protect the hologram from being ON the surface and still be viewed while protected. image
