So I took EastonCollection's advice and took a ride into Sotheby's this rainy NY afternoon and spent a few hours gazing (and drooling) at the Pogue coins. I also enjoyed talking to Larry Stack and Greg Cohen for quite a bit who were really nice in telling me about several coins in the Pogue collection and even taking a few out for me from the display cases. Words cannot describe these coins!!! They just need to be seen in person to truly understand and appreciate their beauty. I took a whole bunch of pics but of course I was particularly enamored by the bust halves which were mouth watering especially the unbelievable 1807 Large Stars in 67 and 1815/2 in 65. The 1808 67 was beautifully toned! I've seen a 1817/4 in person and so I had to also take some pics of that one and the incredible 1822 PR65+CAM. And I took some close ups as well of the chain and wreath cents...which were unrea!!!
