Today I received the prize from Greg Samorajski's last contest, a pair of Choice BU Washington quarters - a 1963 Type A reverse and a 1960 Type B (!!!) reverse. Those Type B's are presumably struck from recycled proof dies, and aren't easy to find, especially from the '60's; none of the 1956-1964 coins from my raw set are type B. The Type B's are most easily distinguished by a larger-than-normal gap between the "E" and "S" in STATES. Also, leaves in the wreath touch the tops of the first "L" and the "A" in DOLLAR. Check your own silver quarters from these years, and the Denver mint clad quarters from 1969-1972.

The contest was: "If you could own just 20 coins, what would they be?". I tried to come up with a diverse list of obsolete Mint State type coins, which Wondercoin (Mitch) judged as the winning entry. Thanks to him as well.

Greg always adds a touch of class and well-reasoned thought to the Boards. Thanks again, Greg!!
