One of my fellow wacky collectors was down-sizing and I got a rare opportunity to cherry pick! Here are some highlights, though there was a lot more....
<< <i>Nothing like a perfectly centered Band-Ache to spruce up your day.
What, no 1967 Jolly Mean variation ? >>
LOL, I actually could have had a mid grade Jolly Mean 21, but that wasn't on my agenda.
I love this Band-Ache even though it is "only" a 7.5. There are 8 graded higher: four 8s, an 8.5, two 9s and one 10. I have seen all of these but one of the 9s and the 10, and I can honestly say this 7.5 presents much nicer than any of the 8s or the 8.5. All the 8s and the 8.5 have significant tilt/diamond cut, which I can't stand. So, given that the 9s and the 10 are longterm unavailable, this is the Band-Ache for me!
My bedroom door was literally plastered with these things back in the day. But I don't feel too bad because I am sure they were the later, less valuable variety.
