Counterfeit Silvertowne checks being used to make online purchases

Saw this message on the dealer-to-dealer network. Somebody is using fake Silvertowne checks to buy stuff online.
---
It appears checks drawn on Silver Towne’s account are showing up through
UPS envelopes and boxes to people selling things online.
The checks are very poor quality and out of sequence with SilverTowne
check numbers.
Our bank is aware and has notified everyone in their banking operation and
flagged our account.
This appears to be widespread throughout the US based on the calls we are
receiving.
If you get any calls or checks that seem suspicious if you could contact
us immediately. We are working with local and state law enforcement and
our bank to catch these criminals.
