The consignor was probably very astute in knowing that The Coronet Collection of Morgans is coming to market later this year. Better to cash out before the money got directed to the Coronet set, or perhaps the seller of the Gold Bell set may want to chase some of the Coronet set coins.

Just curious if the ones not CAC didn't sticker.

The advanced collector has decided to focus on other areas. Coins are superb. One of the 68s has the best cheek I've seen on a Morgan. It's a pleasure to handle coins like these.

Coins of this caliber most certainly were sent to CAC. (Not to mention some have the sticker)
  • You should take a good look at the non stickered coins. Bidders are brainwashed to focus on the coins with stickers and some very nice coins slip through the cracks without stickers.

If by slip through the cracks you mean they were not submitted, not so likely on coins worth more than a few hundred dollars. Would you give up the chance for the increase margin? Not likely especially on coins this nice.
If you mean that CAC did not sticker them, I would not call that slippage.

  • I mean by slip through the cracks is that they are overlooked by bidders.
