Shipping single cards

I am selling some of my uncles cards on Ebay. It has been a long time since I sold single raw or graded cards. When I sell larger items I always do shipping through Ebay or through the USPS site. I can't figure out how to ship bubble mailers with a couple raw cards or one graded card and get tracking without spending almost $3.50. I am using small 5" X 7 1/2" bubble mailers. Are these concidered large envelopes? I don't have a scale that I can weigh these on. How much does a mailer with a graded card weigh? When I tried to use Ebay shipping Priority Mail was the only option I saw. Am I doing something wrong?
Thank you, James

I just checked Ebay shipping and it looks like I did something wrong the first time. It shows $1.93 with tracking included. I still need to know what a mailer with a graded card weighs.

  • A graded card in a bubble mailer shows up at just under two ounces on my scale. Two graded cards takes it up to about 3.5 ounces. For a single card, you can use First Class mail at the 3 oz rate for $1.93, and that includes tracking. Four ounces goes up to $2.01, tracking included.

A mailer with bubble wrap around the card weighs 3 oz (A PSA graded card). An SGC card weighs 4 oz.

Thanks for the responses. That info will help. I bought a new scale of Ebay a couple days ago that I think I will be able to use to weigh these small packages. The scale I have is great for weighing boxes but anything under about 2 pounds won't register.

I use my wife's kitchen scale.
