another farce on eBay: "choice VG"

The title of this auction says "choice VG". The description only says that the coin pictured is the one the buyer will receive.
Wow.
Wow.

When in doubt, don't.

Seriously? Please explain/justify the grade claimed in the auction title.

That pretty well is the grade of the coin. The fact that the coin wouldn't slab has nothing to do with the fact that the grade is correct. The seller doesn't try to cover up the damage. Sounds like a decent seller to me.
OTOH, I did just see an interesting range of coins at eBay when using "choice VG" as a search term.
<< <i>well the dog did choose this vg to run off and chew on....
It's a beaut!!!!
Seriously. Who cares what he labels/grades the coin. It is what it is. If the seller labeled it a scratched up POS, it is still the same coin. Doesn't matter what you call it. Buy the coin, not the label.
If there was a dispute between a hypothetical buyer upset because he did not receive a "choice VG", and the seller who argues that he delivered the exact coin accurately imaged, I would choose sides with the seller.
we all know it is BU

Both reportable and if reported nothing will be done.
A technically graded VG?
<< <i>I would not want it if it was free, very ugly and worthless >>
Not exactly worthless if you got it well below melt, right?

People can use what ever wording they want for a raw coin as it is not in a TPG holder so who really cares especially if you just get it for the silver? Besides those are just die adjustment marks and don't detract from the coin at all
