Scans from Two Latest Subs

Hey Guys,

Just did a sub on the December Special, plus one on my CC Membership freebie. Got pretty beat up on some '71 Topps Baseball, but mostly pleased with the results. Here are some scans of some of the good stuff:

One of my all-time favorite Reds. His career was a little before my time, but I always remember him as one of the Big Red Machine's coaches.

Great card from my dad's collection. It's amazing how well he took care of his cards.

Extremely pleased with this one. Was expecting a 9 and was not disappointed.

I haven't checked the pop report, but this one has been tough for me to find in high grade for my '76 set.

My favorite card out of both subs. I've been trying to get a nice example of this one for a while. There's something very satisfying about scoring the grade you want on a card you're chasing on your own submission, instead of purchasing it outright.

Nothing for sale here, as it's all personal collection stuff. I always like seeing scans of everybody else's subs and just wanted to share.

    The Morgan, Stargell and Rose hit the eye very nicely. Good looking cards.

    Beautiful cards Todd, also love the Campy card. Do you mind elaborating on the '71's you submitted and were disappointed with? I'm about to send some in. Thanks. Doug

    Thanks guys. I hadn't done any subs since about May of last year, so I had some nice cards saved up. Piggs, I subbed some '71 stars and HOF'ers for my set, that in my opinion were all solid 7's, with possibly at least one 8. They all came back 6's. I've subbed at least a few hundred '71's over the years, so I feel like I have a pretty good eye for what cards can get at least a 7, which is the minimum I want for my '71 set. I usually bat at least .900 on my subs, in guessing the grade or getting a grade slightly higher than my guess. I don't have these cards with me right now. Otherwise, I'd post some scans.
