    I knew a guy that had a speech class with him as a freshman. He claimed that Roy was late for class and the professor made him do an impromptu speech as punishment. His topic? How to roll a joint properly. It might have been the first day of classes.

    Sad that he could never get his life straightened out, he was a great talent.

    Tarpley was a beast at UM. Could have been one of the best on the offensive glass. Sad story.
