what happens at the end of the period if you have a negative ebay bucks amount?

If you purchased something earning bucks in one period and then used up all your bucks, but then returned the item for a refiund, does that negative balance simply stay on your account until you make additional purchases to offset it? I would think that would be how it gets settled, unless Ebay simply charges your account at the end of the new period. Not sure if anyone has encountered this in the past. Thanks for any input, Tom

I assume ebay would roll that negative amount into the current ebay bucks period, so when you start making new purchases, it would offset that. Of course, if you returned a really big item that you might not be able to offset, not sure what they would do there.

Happened to me once and it was credited to next eBay bucks period.
