Set advertised as nmt - nmt - mint

If you buy a complete set advertised as near mint to near mint/mint and pay market value for said condition. In addition to about 25 cards having at least a good corner ding and or wrinkle, there are about 20% that are outside of even excellent (5) centering standards? As a reference I am talking about a 700+ card set. Centering issues are random with respect to commons/stars. Thanks for any input/experience, Tom

Note: nothing was mentioned in the ad about the centering one way or the other

    Is there a question?

Yeah that would help. Disregarding the dinged cards, would you consider the set to be advertised incorrectly?

or do you always allow for the centering issues?

From the information you provided I would mention the problem cards (commons?) and see what seller has to say. If the cards that you are unhappy with are high value cards I might simply return the set.

I would like to see the exact wording used in the ad, but 165 cards out of 700 is not a good sign.

    More details would be nice.

edited to add; set was totally misrepresented. Happens a lot, many people don't return items they are unhappy with.
