First buy of the year - British!!!

Yahoo!!!
I decided to pass on several German States pieces and go all in on one British piece which I really, really wanted.
1787 Proof Shilling, ESC 1217 (R4 11-20 known) Plain Edge Proof with Stops, unpriced in Spink with just a notation Extremely Rare. This is the PCGS PF64+ example and there is one other graded 64 at NGC. The slab has some scratches so at some point I'll have to send it in to reholder.

If I don't buy anything else for the whole week I'll feel like I did very well for the winter season, this went way under the estimate, but still at the very top of my budget.

<< <i>Congrats EVP, the Friedburg was one I had on the watch list also, I thought you got that very reasonably. >>
Thanks. I'm not really chasing German States stuff these days but I really loved the Friedberg coin. I saw it in hand on Friday and decided it was worth stretching. Luckily, I got it for a decent price.

EVP - All nice additions. I was tracking the Friedberg out of curiosity - it is sharp.
