    the quarter blows away Newman's 1796 quarter. Now this is a 67 star quality coin! Its amazing that these beauts are kept in so nice of shape!

    i'm a lil stunned this example only graded ms66

    this looks like one of those "SP"'s...at least a "struck from specimen dies"
    MS...i'm just not seeing with this....but i learn so if this is just a MS...wow
    i guess the reverse really held the grade back too
    everything in life is but merely on loan to us by our appreciation....lose your appreciation and see

    But why don't the older coins as such not have the denomination listed?

    because the country was still figuring it all out at the time. The Denomination got put on the Rev soon after these.
