Ruth flip opportunity?

This is higher value than I plan to invest in for a quick flip at the moment, but here is a potentially a good chance for someone here depending on what best offer you can get the seller to agree to (this is of course not my card, nor that of anyone I know either). This item is listed as a 1939 African Tobacco - Small because PSA made a mech. error on the label. The card is actually a 1939 African Tobacco - Large, as is fairly clear if you're familiar with the set. I emailed the seller and told him about the mech. error and how to fix it, but he never wrote back or pulled the listing. In a PSA 6, the small would be a pop 2, three higher. In that grade, the large is presently a pop 2, none higher. Once the pop report is fixed following the mech error correction, it goes to pop 1, 3 higher for small and pop 3, none higher for large. The large one would sell for a slight premium over the small in this card's case. (For many cards in this set, the pop of the small versions are lower than that of the large, but for the Ruth, the large one seems to be a little bit tougher). The margin/% wouldn't be huge, but the total dollars might have the potential to make it worth the effort for someone with the time and available funds. Slight downside is that it is only part of the Super Set, as it is a couple years too recent of a release to qualify for the Master set.

A SMALL in a PSA "5" sold for $600.00 a few weeks ago.
A SMALL in a PSA "5.5" sold for $900.00 one year ago.
A LARGE in a PSA "5" sold for $600.00 six months ago.
Those are the most recent sales in approximately the same grade as the one linked.
The Seller is asking $3,999.00 for the one on ebay (A LARGE PSA "6" mislabeled as a small).
Based on the numbers I have seen, seems like the seller is asking A LOT MORE than the card is worth. Unless the numbers have greatly changed in the recent past, I don't think there would be an offer the seller would accept that would make sense buying this card for a flip.
Just my very uneducated opinion on a card I know nothing about. However, I do think it would be a pretty cool card to own if you got it at the right price ... whatever that price may be.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Large: 15 Total graded / PSA 3 - 3 / PSA 4 - 1 / PSA 4.5 - 3 / PSA 5 - 5 / PSA 5.5 - 1 / PSA 6 - 2
Small: 22 Total graded / PSA 2 - 2 / PSA 3 - 4 / PSA 4 - 3 / PSA 5 - 7 / PSA 5.5 - 1 / PSA 6 - 2 / PSA 6.5 -1 / PSA 7 - 1
The last listed Large PSA 6 to sell was in January 2009 for $837.77. It could of been a 1/1 at the time I guess.
Currently collecting 1934 Butterfinger, 1969 Nabisco, 1991 Topps Desert Shield (in PSA 9 or 10), and 1990 Donruss Learning Series (in PSA 10).
Agreed with these points. Seller would have to accept probably less than $900 to make it worth the gamble.
