New addition to 1955 Topps set: Koufax rookie!

This bad boy arrived in the mail today and I'm really happy with it. A great addition to the set and I got 4X eBay bucks to boot. (On a related note - I have spent entirely too much money on cards this year - gotta cut back in 2015) image

    Looks real sharp, congratulations!

I've also spent too much on cards this year, 2015 will be boring as I will be cutting back.

Nice! I was expecting a much higher grade, and then I scrolled over and saw the 4.5. Really clean example of one of my favorite cards in the hobby.

At a glance that has to be the best 4.5 out there. Why such a low grade, surface?

Great card with great eye appeal. Congrats.
Interested in higher grade vintage cards. Aren't we all. image

Very nice looking card . On the surface , its hard to believe that graded a 4.5 .

Thanks for the kind words, all. As far as condition, there is a very small surface wrinkle near the left border. I actually didn’t see it until just now as I took the card in hand to reply to this thread. Other than that, great gloss and a clean back. Each of the corners shows some softness.

This card fits in very well with my set, which is primarily in PSA 5 (the Hall of Famers) and PSA 5-6 range for the non-graded cards (all the non-HOFers).

With the small wrinkle you mentioned it looks about right for the grade. W/O wrinkle and easy 5.5. Great card though, glad you are happy with it. Doug
