Looking at Uncle's Cards UPDATED

A few months ago one of my uncles told me he has some ball cards from when he was younger. He has no idea what years or players he has. I am hoping these are cards he collected as a kid as he is 69-70 years old. Today I am going to see what he has. If I recall he said there are 3-400 cards in a box. If there are any decent cards I will see what he wants to do with them. Wish me luck

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Well, I just got home a little while ago. I have bad news and a little good news. It seems that he has been buying stuff off of Ebay and other auction sites and flea markets up until a couple years ago. He has a lot of late 90's through about 2012 commons, autographed cards and jersey patch cards. I went through those pretty quickly and didn't see any that are worth more than a few dollars. There are 4 Topps factory sealed sets, 1996, 2010 and two 2011s.
He does have some 50's through 70's cards but most are commons or rough condition star cards. He has a few graded cards. There are a few off condition Mantle cards. He told me that he gave his grandson a couple boxes of 50's cards that he had from his younger days. His grandson is supposed to be hanging on to the cards until my uncle decides what to do with them. He also said that there is a box with early 50's Topps in it but he couldn't find it.
He also has a nice looking autographed framed Mantle picture with copies of some Mantle cards all around it. He told me he won that in a drawing so he has nothing invested in it. The issue with this picture is that I'm not sure it is an authentic Mantle autograph. There is a Score Board certificate on the back. I'll start another thread to get opinions on the signature.
Below are a few pictures. He wants me to sell what I can for him.

The '67 Mantle has really nice centering, probably the best of the bunch. Why was that reprint Mantle reviewed by Beckett? Can't be worth much right? What are the prospects of getting a hold of those boxes from the '50's? That may be your best bet for profit if the cards are in good shape. Good luck. Doug

I might be interested in the graded 59 Williams. Can you PM me with card number and grade? I can't read the flip. Thanks.
