Ok, save the smart replies, I know I can look a the population reports too....
But....
Checking with those that know more than me...what are some of the real "toughies" in the 1973 to 1979 time frame in terms of Topps Baseball? I figured the folks here that collect these sets are a better source than me perusing the pop reports.
I ask because I had a chance to look over some nice material from that time frame today, and will be checking it outagain later this week, wanted to have a few other things too look for in this collection other than the obvious star cards.
The condition at first glance is pretty darn nice.

73 - Unser, Breeden, Buford, Don Wilson, Holt, Arcia, Hegan, plus a lot of tough high numbers such as Didier, Heise, Royals Managers, Vic Harris, Deron Johnson and of course checklist 588.
74 - Braun, Carroll, Hundley, Auerbach, Millan, Lis, and some of the Washington variations
75 - C. Washington, Alou, Staub, Frank Tanana is impossible, Frisella, Giusti, are the toughest. Darrell Evans is my personal toughest. Also a lot of semi tough ones like Don Money and Ed Halicki and many others from this year.
76 - Torre, Luzinski, Dettore, Rick miller is real tough, Kirkpatrick, Stennett record breaker, Pie Traynor, Briggs
77 - Zisk, Kusick, Cubbage, Money, Mora, Guidry, Collins, Cardenal. Very undervalued and under appreciated set
