Pull up an old thread that you spent a lot of time working on....

.....and it received little attention. Would like to see some of the lost gems.

To avoid clogging the forum, it is best to post a link here rather than bump it.

Just a thought as I was considering creating a long post correlating silver coinage to US war involvement.

In the past, folks have put substantial time into threads that quickly slid off the page. Sort of a second chance to show these to a fresh audience.

If no interest, then this post can quickly slip away as well. image

I'll start: I spent a lot of time on THIS post back in July.
few replies, but probably because many have posted the same thing before.

This thread should be a classic.

I've had a few threads that I believe still deserve some attention though, of course,
for the main part it's my own fault or just the nature of beast since so few people collect
moderns and most of my threads are about moderns.

This thread is sorely in need of being updated and tweaked.

Yeah, and 'maybe' one of them may be on topic.
The rest are just to hear himself talk.

  • Less than a month old, but I spent a lot of time researching the Selma Burke controversy for this post

I could add a few new things that I've learned since, including that the piece in the very beginning was actually given out by Burke herself and I found a reference in a March 1946 issue of The Numismatic Scrapbook Magazine for Sinnock's claim that he used his studies from earlier medals to design the FDR profile.

This thread took me a couple hours to et the photos and everything together. It got a bunch of replies, so maybe it doesn't qualify but I felt it was a really good thread.

I didn't spend a lot of time working on this thread, but I'd hoped for more interest.

I spent a while working on this one and was pleased with the discussion that followed. For me, a very satisfying post.
