Seeking opinion from my learned brethren

Trying to fill a renewal sub consisting almost completely of raw 1980 Hendersons and Ryans. But I have a few more spots to fill. Hoping to do some Xmas ripping (if I can find anything worth ripping) so that may help fill the spots.

But do you guys think there is a chance that either of these could bump? I would resub if so. Thanks!

On Rickey, how soft is the top left corner...this scan appears to have a little fuzz.

Lower left on Rickey looks a bit weak too, and it will always be looked at more closely than other 1980 Topps cards. If you do send it I would crack it out, I don't see it going lower than an 8. The Cepeda looks like a 9, but I wouldn't risk a crack out there, in fact I would think the 9 is it's peak.

Rickey - I agree that the two left corners look just a little weak to bump. Could it be the scan?

Thanks guys for the sobering thoughts on the Cepeda. Was dreaming of that card in a 10 is all. It's fine in a 9 though!

Still nothing to lose on a crack out of the Rickey, and who knows, if Xmas is good to the grader you may get a gift too.

Nikklos, I don't think the Rickey is 9 material due to the snow and corner wear. I believe the Cepeda is maxed out at a 9.

They actually do give 10s even with the white line showing. It has to be pretty close to the top though.
