Can Ebay change an item's shipping charge?

I don't sell very often, but something just happened that I'm a bit confused about.
Whenever I sell a card, I always charge $3 S&H...never an exception.
I listed a card recently, and today it was purchased and paid for; except the S&H charge was $2.32! How did this happen? I know I didn't type that amount in anywhere!

$2.32 is the standard "calculated" amount for a card - which means you probably forgot to enter a shipping cost.

That makes sense......thanks
<< <i> I offer free shipping so do not mind if buyers change it from free to something else >>
I'll go out on a limb and say that never happens haha!

<< <i>I gave up on Flea Bay shipping costs. Everything I put up for auction has free shipping. I just add a couple bucks to the item and even then I get burned as one person won an auction in...wait for it....GITMO! It took three weeks for the person to get it but everything turned out all right. So I guess U.S.A only includes military bases in Guantanamo Bay Cuba! >>
FYI...when you list you have the ability to create a shipping exclusion list for countries/areas you don't want to ship to. One of the checkboxes is for APO/FPO, which would take Gitmo out of the equation. FYI.
