Calling all Fractional Gold Folks

WaterSportWaterSport Posts: 6,921 ✭✭✭✭✭
Besides the 1849 D $5 gold piece discovered in my Late Father-in-laws estate, we came upon this fractional gold piece. I know NOTHING about fractional gold other than "what fractional gold is". So my questions for you experts is 1) is it real? , What exactly is this piece as I see there are many types listed 3) care to guess a Grade? 4) value? Thanks in advance for your info.

Modern fantasy coin from the 1960's. Just remember---"If you see a bear, beware."

It may or may not (more probable) be gold. Needs to be tested.

They are usually brass but sometimes are gold plated. They are strictly a novelty item.

Fractional gold could be called tokens instead of coins.

    That's leads me to this:
    It's a trinket

Test it and hope it's not plated.

There are lots of these on ebay.

Darn, you beat me to it!
That's a nice one, but all others have said, put it with the wooden nickels.
