Hi all.Just wondering if anyone knows of any doubling on the obv.in the 1865 3cent nickel?

This one

and

1865 DDO 3CN FS-102

doubling as in which type?

some coins have doubling which is cut into the die...this is referred to as a double die <<< carry premiums...sometimes small...sometimes huge

some coins bounce after being minted back into the die...this is referred to as strike doubled or machine doubled <<< usually carry no premium

something someone new to coins should study the differences in those 2

some double die coins have yet to be discovered

coneca online carries a good resource as most report their finds to this outfit

as to your 1865 3cent nickel....i'm clueless....pcgs price guide has a boxed + in front of dates which have to of been known and accepted by them as varieties they give credit to
this date shows no "+"
