  • Gotta love how the pricing is set up. You can start the bidding by paying 50X VCP average. However, if you are anxious that you won't get the card you can BIN for 150X the VCP average.

You're quoting VCP for an "EX" card. This one is clearly labeled as a "9."

gonna go safe route and bid on the Yzerman.
  • Ahhh......so he tries to set it as a "9" because he is dishonest, but not dishonest enough to set it as a "10". This guy is freakin' brilliant!!!

A 10-minute interview with a cameraman on this guy would make for brilliant television I'm sure. I'd tune in for the laughs.
I'm a big Nolan Ryan fan OK???!!!

    There…are…no…words.

Going poof means ebay removed it, right? If the seller ended it, wouldn't it still show up and show "ended early by seller.......am I getting this right?

  • Yeah, eBay canned it. I normally report sketchy items, but this one was so absurd that I thought it couldn't cause much harm. Not too surprising that it didn't make it through the morning.

Haha! We are all wrong here. Wayne Gretzky personally changed the grade to a "9". The seller has the COA to prove it. 10K is the floor of market value for a product like this.

So now it's no mention of broke slab and we can't see the handwritten scribbled out grade. I'm assuming some of you playful type will be contacting the seller asking for pics of the top flip, right? Perhaps a cert number? I do like the idea of trading baby diapers for it.....

I already messaged him image So did Casey
  • DanBessetteDanBessette Posts: 6,421 ✭✭✭
He messaged me that he had posted a pic with the label and now it's not a hand written EX 9, it's typed, and the photo isn't of the same busted holder. He must have stolen photos from somebody else's auction.
  • DanBessetteDanBessette Posts: 6,421 ✭✭✭
I know there's a way to type in a cert number to check it, but I can't find it on the PSA website. Can somebody direct me?
  • shagrotn77shagrotn77 Posts: 5,607 ✭✭✭✭
This card sold through SCP Auctions on 8/11/13. I'm guessing not to this clown either.

  • He's been slowly adding more and more pictures. There are now 2 clearly different cards in the listing.

So is anyone here going to be bidding on this? It might be cool to see which card you actually get.

    Dear malkin1371,

Hi, I have a couple questions.

Would you take $3500 and can you get it to me by Christmas?

Is the best way to pay you via eBay?

    Thank you for your time.

    - junkwax

    ~

    Dear junkwax,

Yeah I will do 3500 and yeah I can get it to you by then

    - malkin1371

    ~

    Dear junkwax,

    - malkin1371

    ~

    Dear junkwax,

    - malkin1371

    ~

    Dear malkin1371,

    Great, thank you!

    - junkwax

    ~

    Dear junkwax,

So I will put it down right now ok

    - malkin1371

    Dear malkin1371,

Hi, I was just getting ready to checkout and I noticed one of the pictures is different than the other. Two different cards. Is the listing for two cards or one?

    Thank you so much!

    - junkwax

    ~

    Dear junkwax,

One card just diferent camera angles is the same card

    - malkin1371

    ~

    Dear malkin1371,

    Definitely two different cards.

In the picture of you holding the card there is a print dot on the blue border and on the bottom black border. These are not on the main photo.

Is it possible that you uploaded a different picture for the main picture?

Thanks for answering my questions. This will be a purchase for my brother who loves Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier. I want to get it right, if that makes sense.

    - junkwax

    ~

    Dear junkwax,

The card pictures were taken at diferent times as you can see on the background. The first picture was when I got it back from psa. The second was when I was showing a friend what I got. I put the pictures together on the listing.
I see what you are looking at but you get the card in the first picture. What does your brother think of Steve Yzerman?

    - malkin1371

    ~

    Dear malkin1371,

He's not too much of a RedWings fan and definitely thinks Yzerman is overrated! Do you have any Yzerman items?

I see what you mean with the cards and the angles. I was talking about the print dots.

Will make my purchase now!!! Can't wait!!!

    - junkwax

    ~

    Dear junkwax,

Great will send it out as son as payment comes through and in time for Christmas

    - malkin1371

    ~

    Dear malkin1371,

My paypal is saying that they cannot send that much at one time image

Do you know what I can do to send the full amount?

    - junkwax

    ~

    Dear junkwax,

One way out there suggestion is cash in the mail otherwise wired to a bank account. I usually don't have a problem with pay pal so I don't know sorry give me a few minutes and I will figure out. Probably the bank account to account would work

    - malkin1371

    ~

    Dear malkin1371,

I am OK with cash if that is OK with you. I will just make sure to get delivery confirmation.

    - junkwax

    ~

    Dear junkwax,

Ok that sounds great can you get an address on eBay or do you need one

    - malkin1371

    Dear junkwax,

    I'll just tell you
