1909-1911 t206 collectors I have a question..

there seems to be a lot of variations of each card i.e. sweet corporal 350/25 or something like that. do these variations hold any value or extra value? do they matter or do you feel like they will matter? i just got a few graded and two of them are supposed pop 1's. any insight would be appreciated.

  • PSA just recently started labeling Piedmonts and Sweet Caps with series and factory number printed on the flip, which is good, but it also skews the pop report a bit. For example the pop report says there are 140 total Hal Chase Blue Portraits with Sweet Cap backs graded. However when you break it down by individual Sweet Cap series, and factory number, there are only 4 graded between the 6 Sweet Cap backs that the Chase Blue Portrait is available in. So of the 140 total graded, 136 of them don't have the series or factory number printed on the flip and are just lumped into one category.

With SC being such a common brand I would say that your cards are not pop 1's. Which players are they?

1909-1911 T206 Sweet Caporal 350/25 Jack Knight With Bat

any advice on what these descriptions mean, value and/or scarcity wise, would be appreciated

  • The 150/350 are the number of subjects. The 25/30 are the factory numbers.

Take a read of this. Invaluable with T206's. I believe it has a back list by scarcity as well. Your backs are on the common side.

If that Piedmont back is a Factory 42, it would have additional value.

    The others are very common.

You should price them according their condition if they are all common players.

You can review some price information on cardtarget.com.

A tremendous T206 site is T206resource.com. They have a back scarcity ranking.
  • As far as value they're worth whatever commons are going for in the grade you have. Really not much difference in price between SC 350 F25 and SC 350 F30 as both are quite common. The reason your particular Piedmont doesn't have a factory number on the flip is because P350's were all produced at factory 25 in Virgina, and are also common.

Piedmonts from the 350-460 series produced at factory 42 in North Carolina are scarce, and quite more valuable than their factory 25 counterparts.
