1985 Donruss Baseball/1987 Topps Football questions

I'm wanting to work on some birth year sets for myself by breaking boxes. Birth year is 1985 and I prefer the Donruss over the other producers baseball cards. Sadly 1983-1986 are expensive boxes, so those years are out of the question and I'll fudge the date to 1987 (I like that design anyways).

With these two sets in mind, are there any cards I should look out for that are condition sensitive? Hard to make a 9-10?

I'm also starting a Nolan Ryan card set, graded in the highest condition I can afford. I already have his rookie card (well, it's my dad's, but it's something he or I will NEVER sell). Nearly finished with my ungraded Eric Plunk set (missing a couple keys, and that darn 1/1 buyback!!!).
WTB: Eric Plunk cards, jersey (signed or unsigned), and autographs. Basically anything related to him

Positive BST: WhiteThunder (x2), Ajaan, onefasttalon, mirabela, Wizard1, cucamongacoin, mccardguy1

Negative BST: NONE!

If you're open to non-Donruss... 1986 Topps can be very condition sensitive with its black border and you can still find wax boxes or rack boxes for a good price but 1987 Donruss is a nice looking set. That Mike Greenwell card is one of my faves but I dont know what's condition sensitive in this set.
