    My soccer collection is in the beginning stages and I would love to add a Donovan card or sticker sometime soon. Doesn't have to be a RC or anything high end.

    FYI, the earliest 3 cards of his I've been able to track down are:

    2002 Panini World Cup Korea/Japan 118
    2002 Panini World Cup Korea/Japan - USA Exclusives U26
    2002 Panini World Cup Korea/Japan Stickers 291

    I'm not certain whether or not there is an oddball issue from before those, so for now I'll consider them his RC's.

    I subbed them a couple months ago, but don't have them back yet.

    Tonight I picked up a lot of 20 panini 2010 world cup stickers, including Donovan. I didn't have any from that set yet. Also included Dempsey, Tim Howard, altidore.... My first beckham, first messi, first Klose, another Ronaldo (my 5th I think) and a bunch of other stars like Ronaldinho, drogba, Toure, iniesta, fabregas, rooney, sneijder, van persie, etc. Not a high value lot by any means, but I'm just beginning my soccer collection, so nice to add some new stars and a new set.

    I'll be breaking a case of topps chrome with my Niece on X-mas day.
    I think in 15-20 years MLS soccer will be number 3 behind Football and Baseball.

    A little OT, but not worth starting a new thread...

    If I wanted to throw $100 at a few boxes of soccer cards/stickers, looking for either RCs of world class players, or strong sets with good star power...what would the suggestions be?
    52-90 All Sports, Mostly Topps, Mostly HOF, and some assorted wax.

    I should add, that Futera Unique box does not meet your criteria for price range or from what I gather, quantity, to rip. It is however a very high quality rip compared to probably nearly anything else you'll find for soccer boxes.

    There was a thread on here somewhere where someone picked up $100 worth of unopened soccer packs from a single pack. If I remember right, every pack was from a different set/year/manufacturer and they were inexpensive such that he had a pretty large stack of fun packs to rip. That's probably a good bet to go with from what it sounds you're looking for.

    Dave and Adam's has boxes of 2014 Panini World Cup stickers for pretty cheap. 50 packs of 7 stickers each for $25. No good for investment purposes but a cheap, fun rip with lots of quantity and plenty of stars. If they played in the World Cup, they're in there. Only stars I can think of who are missing are Gareth Bale and Ibrahimovic. Includes Ronaldo, Messi and Team USA.
