  • That is how this issue is supposed to appear.

The only thing I disagree with is the wrinkle running from the top of the card to Lyons' hat that should keep this from higher than a 5.
  • It's a card where the player pops up when you fold it.

I just finished looking at all the PSA graded 1934 Batter-Up cards on ebay (over 440 cards), and the one referenced above is the ONLY ONE with the "Folded Card" statement on the flip.

Therefore, it seems that the comment refers to something specific about this particular card; perhaps PSA feels it was folded at one time.

I've been seeing some odd things in the descriptor line lately from variations to specifications about type or cut. Suddenly, it seems like the Wild West. Take a look at some of the recently graded 1948 Leaf Football cards and you'll see a myriad of descriptors for jersey color, shading of pants, light or dark zippers, slightly brighter than another, failed chemistry as a junior and just about anything you can think of. Not sure when this started, or why, but it has gotten a little silly.

You forgot to add the "i" before "Mo Reese". That made it even funnier for me. I couldn't stop laughing when I saw that. I was laughing so hard my wife seriously thought there was something wrong with me.

The right side vertical edge 3/4 the way down and then continuing down to the lower right corner seems to have a partial image of the next card that would be on the sheet,if in fact that is how these cards were printed. And is seperated by a vertical white line. Is this normal for this issue? Could this be considered a mis-cut?

    1. There is no way that card was ever folded. (You can see the reverse on eBay.) Probably some new person at PSA wanted to show that it was a card that was made to be folded back in the day. Like we needed him to tell us!

    2. I agree that the wrinkle (it's more than a wrinkle ... it goes all the way thru to the back) should limit this card to a "5" at best.

    3. I also agree that due to the image of another card on the lower right, this should be labeled "Mis-Cut".

    STAY HEALTHY!

The card should be graded a PSA 4. I had the number one set on the registry for the 1934 batter ups. This is over graded.

You say "had." Did you break it up? If so, that's a shame.

I think this is just a case of the grader/slabber assigning the wrong item in the database to the flip. It happens a lot, more so with modern because every card has different variations.
