  • Hi Jesse,

These are broad questions, so they are difficult to answer.

With regard to cost, if you really wanted to pursue it as cheaply as possible, you could get them done around $7/ea all in. This would require you piggybacking on a group monthly special. If you did it on your own and you were not a CC member (I assume you are not), you would be looking at $17/ea + 2-way shipping. If you do not know what monthly specials, the CC, or piggybacking are, I suggest you read a few older threads on the forum before proceeding. There's a search function at the top of the forum that can be really helpful.

Whether it is worth it depends on what you're going to do with the cards. If you're just going to keep them in your PC and do not plan to re-sell, the only short-term value is protection, which is minimal. Over the long-term, having them graded will make them more liquid/easier to sell so, when the day comes, you'll be able to move them faster and hopefully for more money. If you want to sell them now, you need to figure out what the *value added* of grading will be and whether that exceeds the cost of the grading. Value added for modern cards is highly contingent upon condition and I encourage you to closely examine your cards to verify that they are candidates for a PSA 10 Gem Mint or PSA 9 Mint grade. Then, do some research on what these cards in those grades sell for and compare that to the selling price of raw examples of the same card. If everything lines up and you stand to make significant money from grading before selling, go for it!

    Good luck.

    Casey
