SmEagle1795's Colosseo Collection

Did I miss the post? I saw the link for the Colosseo Collection on the US forum. I immediately recognized SmEagle1795's coins. But I never saw the link posted on the darkside forum. Did I just miss it? Or SmEagle1795 is there a reason you haven't posted it?

For anyone else who also missed it: Colosseo Collection

Congratulations SmEagle1795 on a stunning and truly historic collection! And the quality of the photography is on par with the coins.

I also like the layout of your site. Some coin sites are tedious to go through. Your's is laid out nicely. And next to the coins I like that you have taken the time to research the historical context and the historical significance of your coins. They aren't just pretty coins.

Now where is the envy emoticon?
I collect history in the form of coins.

Thanks! I've been intending to post it for a while - I've just been still catching up on posting individual coins on my usual weekly interval (although based on my wantlist, that may never actually happen).

I have a few other views built into the site as well:

Coins organized roughly by importance/personal favorites

Coins organized chronologically in a gallery view

And the homepage which allows you to choose the region (Greece/Rome): Home

It's still a work in progress but it's coming together so far. Let me know if you have any questions or other feedback!

This Colosseo collection's depth of imagery and presentation has not only become a virtual museum, but from my perspective, indicative of the collector's passion and determination to raise the quality bar, applying a disciplined, non compromising, approach to capturing the coins history and finest artistic beauty.

    Inspiring.

I stumbled across the site a few months ago, but I hadn't seen it announced yet.

This collection is nicer, and composed of finer material than most museum displays. It is truly the work of a discerning collector who appreciates history, society, and art. Many of the coins themselves are of the utmost rarity, and in magnificent condition. Thanks for sharing, SmEagle1795.
