At first blush, it looks good, but the dots in the middle of some of the loops have me concerned. Can you tell if they're hesitations or if it was signed on an uneven/soft surface (indentations/holes)?

They're not holes. I don't even think your hesitations, because there is one or two on the back end of a loop. It looks to me like an ink clump from a ball point pen. I have seen them before when I write too much without rotating in a little bit.

Those spots was part of my first concern. However the last portion of his last name is the spot that I can't stop staring yet. It just looks weird to me.

That would make sense too. They just jumped out as odd in the middle of loops.
