I think it's legit. Pretty sure the blobs are on the flip or scanner, looks like the 'H' one is in the same place on the back. I'm not a fan of the sun-faded look, but sharp nonetheless.
the sun faded look may be a result of a setting on the scanner for dust removal. I had the same thing happen to some of my recent scans until I realized it and unclicked it and solved the issue.
7k seems like a whole lot to me for a card that can be found much cheaper and still feature nice centering, image, and corners, if one looks around. There are some great 9s and even 8s of the 74 Ryan to be had for a fraction of the 10. One can find a card like this one below for $50 raw at a show, have the card in their collection, and there's almost 7k left over for a much tougher card or cards. I think the 9s only run a couple hundred and the 8s perhaps $100 or even less.
Both cards look really sharp. When evaluating a card on ebay, I try not to hold too much against it based on the overall scan. In most cases, when I'm holding the card in my hand it looks much better then it did in the scan.
Really astute point, MrNearMint. I have found the same thing. In this age of huge scans with high rez, or even bad scans, it's amazing how the digital version of the card can pale dramatically compared to the card in hand. Scans can really distort or over magnify a beautiful card's flaws.

whomever approved that got eaten by a T-Rex.
The washed out definitely a scanner issue. Even the flip is overexposed./
