I love the nba, but I can never watch a full game anymore unless the lakers are playing.

Actually,the whole NBA is boring to watch.Viewers are turning it off in droves.Latest numbers indicate that Nascar & even some baseball games have got a better share head to head with the NBA even in the playoffs.Pretty sad!
Mr Stern & his crew know they have a problem;those terrible rule changes turned out to be a flop.Hope they do something about it before it's too late.Even MJ coming back couldn't help what has become one of the most boring pro sports to watch either live or on tv.

Well,let me just say that Mr Stern has already recognized that they have some serious problems.TV ratings are vital to network & advertisers contracts.Those numbers are in fact down considerably for the NBA.Thier fan base is shrinking;look at Charlotte as an example.One reason they pulled them out of there is they were in the middle of NASCAR country.
The networks like NBC,which now has NASCAR;TNT & TBS also are letting the NBA know that they better do someting to change the falling viewership.It all about $$$! !
You can look for some major changes in the near future to get some of these fans back! ! They better not wait too long or they won't have any TV money to pay those overblown salarys! !

the NBA is fine... they are moving to ABC and ESPN which will GREATLY help their ratings... just because the ratings are down, does not mean sh!t... all sports ratings are down... and just because Charlotte is moving, does not mean all franchises are hurting... the Wizards sold out almost every game last year... i am sure the Lakers and Sixers do the same, as well as many other teams... Nascar is the most boring thing to ever watch... i would rather watch cartoons of Winnie the Pooh... Bobstar, u might be an old man, but u don't know everything... i am sure u will take that offensive, but my point is why do u talk like u are in the situation... Mr. Stern says this and Mr. Stern says that... HOW DO U KNOW WHAT MR. STERN SAYS?... not trying to be rude (but if that's how u take it, oh well - won't be the first time u took it like that), but i think u exaggerate WAY too much...

I HATE racing! Any kind of racing is B-O-R-I-N-G! Who the hell wants to watch cars/trucks/dirt bikes (although the stunts are cool)/etc go around around in a circle over and over? I'm not disrespecting the aspect of a "race" as a sport...but D@MN...I don't see what people get excited over about it...The NBA will never dwindle, especially with the next big thing...Kobe FREAKING Bryant!

Well,actually Thito,the way I know what Mr Stern says is by reading articles in SI & a number of newspapers.I also watch & listen to a number of sports stations on tv & radio like I would assume alot of other people do as well.
Yes,I am an older guy but I don't profess to know everything.All I was doing was making an observation about a subject someone had posted about.You always seem to get upset when I answer a post for some very odd reason.
Some of the information in my previous post was from news reports.
Just for your information while we are on that subject,ratings for NASCAR have actually increased this year.The Fox networks are mainly responsible for that.
I know all people don't enjoy all sports.Everyone has thier own likes & dislikes.I never intended pitting one sport against another,just was pointing out some numbers that were interesting about the subject at hand.
Also,in case you didn't realize it ESPN has baseball on a number of days & evenings for the season,I was not talking about local staions carrying games.I know they don't count in ratings.

i think the whole nBA post season is kinda boring this year...A bunch of lackluster teams in the playoffs none of which have a super star..And folks already know the Lakers will win..So it gets boring to watch...With the exception of Laker fans of course...I love basketball and even when the Bulls were winning every year it was still exciting to watch..But for some reason it just seems like the same game played seven times this year
