Beckett's new BGS 10 black label

If you haven't heard, BGS just came out with a new label. If a card gets all four 10's on the sub-grades then it gets slabbed with a black label instead of the old gold label.
I understand this is a PSA forum but I wanted to know what people think about Beckett's black label idea.

What do you think?

I think they changed the label to add a little prestige to the "perfect card". it doesn't matter to me either way. Plus the card they showed with four 10s looked like it had a corner issue

I've always thought they'd benefit from a consistent label across all grades a la PSA.

ehh. seems good, but lost me on the cards no older than 1980. a 71 topps would look good in there. but no real skin lost as I dont sub to them anyways...

Wonder what that means for BVG 10's with no sub grades? Also I have cracked and submitted BGS cards and never once have they come back with the exact same sub grades for what that's worth.

I had a card get a 10 centering on 1 sub, and an 8.5 on the next.

I don't collect BGS graded cards, but I like the look of the colored labels they've used.

Personally, I wish PSA would use a nicer color scheme for their label instead of red and white. In my own personal collection, I think the BGS label looks nicer with my cards than the PSA label.

I think it looks cheap.

Reminds me of the labels you see on ebay where the guy is doing the slabbing in his basement.

I don't like it because I prefer uniformity and consistency in flips over cool/new innovations.

That said, in the abstract, looks great. Just not sure how I'd feel if I had a bunch of non-black BGS 10s.

I still prefer the beautiful Gold foil labels on BGS 9.5 and BGS 10's over the black label. If they wanted to do anything with their labels, they could have went back to the original labels with the subgrades on the back.
