Ok, I need some good photos.

Please post or Private message with who is the best, fastest, yet affordable photographer. I have about 12 coins all slabbed. The value of the combined for insurance reasons will probably be over $3000. Let me here some opinions or offers. Thanks.

There are several on these boards that take excellent pics. Perhaps we should know what part of the country
you are in. Do you attend shows?

I've had Todd Pollock of these boards take pics that I'm extremely pleased with. He attends most of the big
shows if not all. You can message him here just send one to: blu62vette.

Or visit his web site: BLUCCPHOTOS.com

He hails out of Central California.

Hope others chime in with more options.

Todd Pollock (BluCC) has done a lot of work for me. I find his work to be exceptional. He is a member of the boards here.

kryptonitecomics ( Florida) or messydesk (Illinois) are both excellent and reasonable.

I've used members mgoodm3 & messydesk who IMHO are the best in the biz at coming as close as to what the coin looks like in hand w/o any surprises.

You could also check with member TomB who I believe is a lens for hire?

  • From what I've seen on the board and websites, the best are (not in any particular order)

    Mark Goodman
    Todd Pollock - BluCC
Matt Powell - Digital Studio NW
    Messydesk

And the best, in my humble opinion:

    Phil at PCGS.

Some are great for all around coin photos, some are better than others for certain types (proofs, toned, copper, etc).
Ask them honestly about what you want photos of.
Also, see if they have samples you can see.

Many will do a very good job. From what I see of photos others post, and watching for many years on these boards, I would personally likely go for John (Messydesk) and/or Mark (Mgoodm3).
I've had some from Mark before and they are very realistic, and good, to the coin.

You are correct, imho. I neglected him and I would let him photo my coins. I would include him as well

Lance Keigwin. He's my go-to for quality coin pics. I believe he has a website from which you can place orders.

He's a great guy, too. Won't stop until you're satisfied. image

Lance is also the only photographer here that can take your coins to 200mph around a racetrack . . . safely.
