What purpose does everyone believe it was tampered with for? To switch the mint 9 card that was originally in the holder with a lesser conditioned or altered one? Or does anyone think the one in there now is a reprint?

I agree that the card appears to be a reprint. Without a higher resolution scan, it is tough to see the obvious signs on the back, but the front image looks darker and grainier than an authentic example.
