    Kitco recorded no such activity.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

Sometimes, those fat fingered spikes have a way of becoming reality. image

This occurred during the periods when the exchange is technically down (5:15-6:00 pm EST). Though quite often there are trades on low volume executed in those 45 minutes that do count.

What is the rhetoric when the price moves down?

If the massive downward spikes were met with the same outcome, cancelled trades, it would be easier to compare them apples to apples.

Similar phantom spikes were seen in Jan and April of 2013, taking gold down to $1350-$1400 before they were washed over minutes, seconds, or micro seconds later. That was when gold was still well above $1550.

And what happened by April 15th 2013? Fat fingers indeed. Sometimes you have to send out the deep advance "scout" party to test the markets....and pull back your bids before anyone can hit them.

If gold went down $150 like this the board would be screaming of "evil banksters", collusion, manipulation, paying off the Chinese, and other nonsense.

Are you suggesting that the markets are pure as the freshly fallen snow?

There is no difference, spot determines base price for all the physical products, including jewelry.
