1990 topps frank thomas who is the faceless man

Hey guys. Was looking through some junk wax and came across some 1990 frank Thomas cards. I got curious looking at the card about who the airbrushed runner is. I think there may have been a thread about that at some time. The guy looks to be about 12 years old. Just curious.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

    Probably because Topps didn't have the rights to his photo and didn't want a lawsuit. I've seen other cards with blurred out faces and others with crowd shots where you could tell who the person was without a doubt (they weren't "known" though) so perhaps that's the difference?
