German Pfenning help

Was there a 1 Pfenning minted in 1954? If so, what mints? I am having trouble determining if one was minted in that year or not. I do not have a Krause catalog - so if anyone would be kind enough to advise - I'd appreciate it. Thanks

Hello Exbrit, There were no 1 Pfenning pieces minted that year. Prior to 1954
they were minted in 1950 and no other pieces were minted again till 1966.
There was no production of 1 Pfenning pieces between the years 1950 and 1966.

Are you certain it is not an East German pfennig from 1964?

I stand corrected. The East Germans did mint 1 Pfenning coins in 1948, 1949, 1950,1952,1953,
1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965. They also minted them in later years as did West Germany.

It won't say "east Germany" on the coin, though. German Democratic Republic.
