Interested or not ??

I have a few gold quarter eagles that I am contemplating selling . Both in Genuine holders but very low mintage . Is there interest in low mintage genuines ? The only reason I ask before listing is I know I have too much invested and dont want to obligate myself to sell them once listed if I can't get decent money from them.

People are interested in anything if the price is right. Why not just list them on the B/S/T for what you want for them or ask for offers?

    what a seller wants
    and
    what a seller gets

    can be 2 different animals

    without images or coin specific's
that applies to replies here too

Probably get melt. I'd hold for now if I could. I know that's were I'm at with the modern commemoratives I have.

I have an 1845-O and an 1882 ... both mintages of 4,000 coins ... I don't want to list them and people think that I am crazy ... escpecially since my forum name is Lunytune image
In Doug Winters book he says about 65 1845-O exist . I planned on replacing before selling , but they are hard to find and many out of my price range.

    better
images with imaging skills can be the key or key lost...image

    one thing i've found
if i care about return on a coin
    consigning comes into play

some sellers have a fan base crowd that follow them and those consignment fees can vanish
    especially in specialized areas

perhaps you could search whose got the best thing going with such address and consult them direct
maybe you'll get a pm too

brace yourself too if you haven't been watching actual market sales figures too
upcoming holidays can be rough on prices too

The nice people on eBay will pay $1.04 - but you can send a counter offer of 99c to the underbidder.

4,000 minted is pretty low for coins so I guess it depends on what the problem is and how severe along with grade.

Better date Genuine holdered coins can do well. Depends on the reason for the gen (Cleaned good) (Tooled, Holed, Ground to a Pulp bad).

A bit of research on Heritage archives should good you a good start on valuation.

As mentioned, holidays are not the best time to sell. Try the BST with reasonable pricing. No one will be offended.

send them to great collections , they seem to be getting close to fair market on a lot of coins as of late.

Gold date collectors tend to be wealthy and generally don't want problem coins. Prepare to be disappointed.
