Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas for Hall of Fame , yes or no ?

    Taylor for sure. 6th all time in sacks.

    Thomas, I'm not too certain. He doesn't immediately come to mind as a hof'er to me.

    I think yes on both of them, but the Pro Football Hall of Fame is tough on Linebackers , Randy Gradishar , Maxie Baughan , Pat Swilling, Tommy Nobis Robert Brazile , and Chuck Howley should all be in . Maxie Baughan has 9 pro football bowls and Tommy Nobis had 294 Tackles in a season .

    Perhaps if Thomas was on Dancing with the stars like Taylor was, it may sway my vote.

    Taylor, yes. Thomas, I think so, but it might take a few tries.

    Taylor yes. Within 3 ballots. Zach Thomas, I'd say yes also, longer wait. They need to get Robert Brazile and Randy Gradishar in before Zach, IMO.

    Jason Taylor is borderline, shouldn't be first ballot. Thomas not anytime soon.

    Instead, let's vote in Jerry Kramer and Spec Sanders.

    Taylor wil get in but he'll probably wait. I'd be surprised if Zach Thomas was even a finalist. Honestly.

    The reason being that there are 22 positions on the field and 32 teams. If you figure that there one Hall of Fame player in the league per position at any given time (as an average), you truly have to stand out in this era of only 5 guys getting in per year from the writers ballot. Think about that. There are 18-25 HOFers in the league right now. And if 2-3 retire each year and 2-3 more take their place, how does someone who was the 2nd or 3rd best at their position during their career break through those odds and get in? Thomas played most of his career in a league with Junior Seau and Ray Lewis playing Middle Linebacker.

    Taylor will have an easier time because there weren't two other guys better than him for most of his prime. He fits right between the Reggie White and Jared Allen/Julius Peppers eras during years 3-7 for him.

    I think Zach Thomas was better than people remember. Brooks is the only LB to start his career in the '90s in the Hall, so I think Thomas has a fairly good chance to make it after Seau and Lewis are in. London Fletcher is the only other more recent LB I can think of who should make when his time comes.

    No on both. How did Taylor play the run? Is Thomas as good as the LBs already in? Or better than the LBs waiting to get in? How many Super Bowls did they play in?
