I know it's a long shot and it would take some doing just to see if there was any real interest in making a forum purchase.......

<< <i>I'm not up on 1990 OPeechee box values but doesn't $120 a box seem a bit strong? >>
It's brutally tough to find. I'd say $120 is a fair price and one could make the argument that it's a good price since you're getting 24 sealed boxes. When I started searching for them it took me over a year just to find one for sale. Hadn't even seen an image of one before that. I make it a point not to buy unopened off ebay from sellers I don't know, otherwise I would be in.
collecting RAW Topps baseball cards 1952 Highs to 1972. looking for collector grade (somewhere between psa 4-7 condition). let me know what you have, I'll take it, I want to finish sets, I must have something you can use for trade.
looking for Topps 71-72 hi's-62-53-54-55-59, I have these sets started
<< <i>It's inflated unless your looking at keeping it in case unopened, I think they threw that number out there so not to get low-balled......till then >>
There are three completed listings on ebay, all in the $110-120 range. After the drought, the first box to pop up sold rather quickly at a $299 BIN. There have been plenty of past sales in the $150-200 range. I had hoped that the $299 BIN would cause many more to surface, and compared to none, I suppose that was true. But it's still more difficult than any 1980s OPC box other than 1980 and 1981.

are they supposed to have the tape on the front like that?
seems like if you can get enough interest, you could drop an offer on see what happens?
11/19 2 boxes @ 245.00 didn't sell
11/15 box @ 130 .00 didn't sell
11/14 2 boxes @ 280.00 didn't sell
I've reached out.......
till then

<< <i>Local pick up only. Are you in Manitoba, Canada? >>
"Shipping to Canada $76.50 and $87.50 to the US"
I saw that quais- typo on the "local pick-up only"........
possibilities of working something out......
little bit...
edited for update; 8:11, the seller just told me that he opened the case to pull out for pictures.........oh well
<< <i>I'm sorry, but this stuff seems massively overpriced. The best card you can get is a $20 Frank Thomas RC that is worth around $250-$300 graded Gem Mint. I get that the boxes are hard to find, but $125+ for a box with a $20 max value raw card? I don't know. >>
How would that be any different from 85T BB?

I'd like one for part of my unopened collection.
Unopened boxes intact are almost always worth more than the cards inside.

I understand why OPC is hot right now. I guess I'm just not yet ready to accept $125+ price tags on '90s junk era boxes. lol

That's like saying Aqueous Test cards are worthless because 1990 Donruss is. The difference between 1990 OPC and any other major issue from the era is galactic. Not just in unopened form, but in production.

Did you seriously just compare Aqueous Test to 1990 OPC? I think you need to chill out a bit. I said I understand why OPC is hot. No need to make stupid comparisons in an attempt to inflate your point that hasn't been lost on me to begin with.
<< <i>Obviously I'm not comparing Aqueous Test to 1990 OPC. I'm saying devaluing something simply because of the era it's from is foolish. >>
See the "lol" in my original post? That means I was being tongue-in-cheek. I know how the hobby works. I understand how the market works. I get why older OPC sells well. There is nothing you can teach me about cards that I don't already know. I still think the 1990 OPC boxes are overpriced.
Don't waste your time and fees listing on ebay before getting in touch me by PM or at gregmo32@aol.com !
