He was a colorful character here for a long time.

This was actually a decent movie, if you like comedy dramas ... with Salma Hayek ...

Thanks for asking. I've wondered , too. I hope he's still here. He was instrumental in assisting me with getting "thick skin".

I sold him a handful of nice quarters a decade ago. Enjoyed doing business with Warren.

There was a group that delighted in questioning everything he said and likely rode him out of town.
He may also have had some health issues, but he certainly was derided and attacked a lot.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

But he was a self made million" air"...with lots of the former.

    I enjoyed his input.
Seems like I do remember the attacks but not the details.

I remember what I think was his last post about some quarters he sent into pcgs for grading . They were quarters he put into some envelopes and then into a book and they took on color. But, pcgs didn't like the color and dubbed them genuine . He was quite upset about this and was wondering since when envelope toned quarter were "Questionable Color". I remember this because of the fact he was REALLY pissed off.
The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Boom went the ban hammer. Sold some stuff to him a time or 2. My last contact with him was Dec. 1, 2009. IIRC he was/is a paramedic. Probly had a stressful life.

Both of my deals with Boom were fair and as planned. No gripes here.

I thought it was ManOfCoins that was gassing PCGS quarters in the holders and selling them as toned?
  • ArizonaJackArizonaJack Posts: 4,029 ✭✭✭
It was. Old subject, why bring it up?

I liked Craig (MOC). The forum went into a frenzy when his Morgan Dollars went from white to tie dyed in a few weeks.

Two 500 post threads if I recall. Ahhhh the good old days!

Wasn't he was involved with the toning process?

He toned coins that were already in PCGS slabs. Slabs are not airtight and he figured out a way to get a gas with sulfur into the slabs. He claimed to be innocent until one of the forum detectives found auction pics of some of his coins that were blast white and that he was later showing off as being toned.

Rattlers are easily prone to not being airtight.

Remember old Fletcher's avatar? w/cowbell? That was some awesome drumming!
  • I seem to remember him being involved in a Christmas fund raiser.
I always gave but I think some openly questioned it.
